An unfortunate first: broke up with a client. Not the worst client, a typical one.

The straw: Weeks after benefitting from an unsolicited all nighter during vacation to mitigate their risk and ready their system, they complained and want more OT.

The client: Run-of-the-mill passive aggressive, averagely selfish and lacking in manners. Nothing new. They ignore advice, talk a lot, push scope creep. All normal behavior.

Me: Weary enough. Experienced enough. Now decisive. A “yes man” no longer.

It’s not you, it’s me.
