Ernie Anderson was such an incredible voice over legend. A voice built from 100% raw gravitas. His network TV voice-overs in the 1980s were a large part of the appeal of ABC for me. And he knew his worth and, according to him, ABC handsomely compensated for that sound. (Can you imagine the guy who replaced him? Jesus, what big shoes to fill.)

Been listening to interviews with him and he seemed like a really amazing, charming, fowl-mouthed guy in civilian life. :)

Here's his final interview in 1996, apparently. He passed in early 1997.

I don't have a lot of experience with video or cameras, I try to avoid them.
But givven their ubiquitus requirement in order to actually participate in society, I must do so more often.
So my question for all you wizards out there , is if brightness of the display on the device where the camera is operating matters? For example, on iPhone, I keep #VO screen curtain on at all times, and bbrightness at 0%. For some reason, my thinking is that the brightness does affect the camera in some way? Or is this just screenshots?
Anywho, its all got me confused.
Also, how about a Windows laptop? Does its brightness matter for its internal camera?

Hey there, any #VoiceOver peeps know how to configure a #UniversalAudio Solo/Arrow interface to record my #VO in a #Logic session with a client directing me on a video call? I’ve tried all the videos and articles about routing and virtual channels in #Console but in a recent Meets call, Meets just hijacked my audio so it was really quiet in Logic. Don’t know what I’m doing wrong. If you could explain it like I’m a baby that would be awesome. Don’t wanna use Loopback.

* They immediately jumped to "fierce political debate"

* A coworker #mansplained 'using the debugger' to me
* An #audiobook review misgendered me + wished I'd "done better"
* It's #VO awards time so social is just happy winners and attendees... I've never been nominated or even invited.

Dit hoor je vaak: "Omdat door verschraling van het kunstonderwijs de culturele geletterdheid is teruggelopen, lopen de bezoekersaantallen terug".
De vraag is: welk kunstonderwijs is dan verschraald? In het #PO is er veel meer kunst dankzij #CMK en #MidK. In het #VO kiezen lln minder het #CM-profiel, maar om hen nu de schuld te geven van de bezoekersaantallen bij podia gaat erg ver. 1/2

Een korte #introductie. Ik ben #schrijver van ongeveer 120 #kinderboeken. Ik schrijf ook columns voor volwassenen en #gedichten. Ik bezoek vaak #scholen, zowel #po als #vo om over mijn #boeken te vertellen. Ook maak ik geregeld lessen voor het #onderwijs.
