Lucius is done!
Now I am ready for the "bring one mini of your choice"-challenge at the local Warhammer Store next weekend.
It was a very welcome kick in the butt to get me to finally build and paint him. Apparently I am motivated by competitive stuff. Who would have thunk.

Now back to painting the winter Squigs.

I love that Games Workshop not only gave the new (relatively, it's about nine months out now) Lucius-mini HOOF-HIGH-HEELS, but also matching garters for his leg armour!

I am not saying, high heels with hooves and digilegs are a very practical idea, but, boy, does he rock it!

Lucius the Eternal is done!
He's not the official model, didn't get it and it's still sold out. But this third party one is so good! I gave him a fem Astartes head, because way better looks and hair and just exaggerated the bone structure a bit to make him EC.

Don't know how long I took to paint him, because I did him over the course of two weeks. Maybe four hours?

Today I got up at 5:30 and was full of hobbying spirit!

So I got the Shifter paint on Lucius and even added some details.

Tomorrow: More details, base and done!

I love the Shifters effect on his armour. It's not as overwhelming as with my test-mini and it fits him so perfectly!

Lucius and his incredible giraffe tongue.
They redesigned his juice dispensers on the new model, but kept his tongue, I appreciate this.

I'm still very salty they made him ugly again, but at least not as ugly as his dad. Emperor's Children can't win with Games Workshop's sculptors, but as long as there's 3rd party designers making heads with beautiful faces, there's something I can do about it. 😊

Lucius is my beloved super-chaos-über-gremlin.

But ... he falls for every trap. Each time.

Fabius telling Fulgrim with a very exasperate sigh: "You know, he really has an exceptionally small brain! And it's filled with thoughts about swords!" And Fulgrim cuddling Lucius, cooing in baby-voice: "Yeeesss!! Look at you! Such a good boy! Swords! Yes!"
