Bicycled 65K yesterday to Lanesboro.
Forgot I traded out my studded tires and crashed *up* a hill. I'm fine, bicycles fine. Just embarrassed. Up a hill hydroplaning over water I didn't catch over transparent ice. Studded tires I would have been able to correct, regular tires just slid.

2 deer, 1 bounded across the trail in front of me.
10 rabbits.
Lots of grey squirrels. About 8 small red squirrels, each one had a nut in their mouth and they were really fast.
2 wild turkeys. First time I'd seen that.

Went to see "King Lear" as performed by the actors at The Commonweal Theatre in Lanesboro, Minnesota.
Wonderful production. Modern clothing with some actors playing multiple roles.
They have this Friday and Saturday and a Sunday matinee closing show left. If you're in the area and can afford the money and time it's well worth it.

Whalan Train Depot was open and chatted with the owner for a bit and got a couple of things.
Had lunch at Pedal Pushers Cafe in Lanesboro. Many more stores are open there now. Stopped at a bike shop and got accessories.

First really cold day bicycling for me.
Update: Bicycled the 13 miles to #Lanesboro from #Rushford in what I thought was -7.77 C but with wind chill (as I found out later) was actually -12.77 C. I was fine between the trees, but open spaces with sun was where the cold, cold wind got me.Face & head covering okay. Need better gloves and better socks.
Discovered all my water bottles had iced up. Oops. #Alabama cold isn't #Minnesota.
