Saw the #northernlights tonight! They were so beautiful ✨✨✨

These were all taken #freehand with the #GoogleCamera app on a #Fairphone4 with the astrophotography mode. They were visible to the naked eye, and danced around celestial north.

#kpindex was ~8.33 according to the app I have, taken at ~11:30pm - ~12:15pm

Possible Aurora for upstate New York and others parts of the northern part of the US tonight?

The K index (basically how much disturbance is in the earth's magnetic field) was an 8 earlier (out of 10) which would have had possible aurora down to San Francisco if it was night time!

Now a 6 though.
