@dougmerritt I interviewed Chowning once for a #kfjc radio special about John Markoff's wonderful book _What the Dormouse Said_. The interview is linked from the Wikipedia article.

CCRMA had a wonderful 50th anniversary concert in 2024 (?) over which Chowning presided.

@karlauerbach Just when she achieved well-deserved fame, she grew ill. #kfjc played the Dap Kings for years on the "Dancing in the Fast Lane" show.

I'm a fan of the Norman Bates Memorial Soundtrack show, Saturday Mornings on #KFJC. (And not *just* because host Robert Emmett always announces our shows, though we're very appreciative of that).
