I still have to laugh about the time someone posted a picture of the church (foundation stone laid in 1716) with the caption "They're building a mosque right now in the middle of Vienna," and all the stupid rassists / Nazis fell for it.
It’s pretty embarrassing when you’re so far right that, while "protecting" the Fatherland and Christianity, you mistake a Christian church for a mosque ;)

Die Karlskirche. Noch son Monument. Ich finde es nicht ganz leicht, einen Zugang zu Wien zu finden. Es ist halt alles so überladen. So historisch. Was soll man sich eigentlich angucken und was nicht? Mal sehen. Wir haben ja noch ein paar Tage.

De toegang tot de Karlskirche in Wenen is 9 euro. Betalen voor een Godshuis, daar moet ik van slikken. Nou ja, denk ik, het is een mooie kerk en het kost vast kapitalen om alle bladgoud, marmer en kleurig schilderwerk hier te onderhouden.
