1) 99% of journalists are shallow idiots,
2) pre-2005 almost no-one said "assistants",
3) "plucky assistant" is used at least a couple of times for sarcastic comic effect ("The Unicorn and the Wasp" and later by Missy) which is probably when non-fan journalists started to think is was OK.

Mijn moeder is overleden voordat er e-mail (voor iedereen) was.
Mijn schoonouders hadden waarschijnlijk (?) geen e-mail. In ieder geval heb ik nooit met ze gemaild.
Mijn vader had wel e-mail, maar gebruikte het niet echt.
