Populists often present themselves as the "strong hand", as authoritative leaders that supposedly know best.

Whoever buys into that argument is basically saying: "I'm declaring myself unfit to participate as a citizen in politics. Just take my vote and leave me be. I don't care what happens until one month before the next elections. I trust you will find someone to blame for every ill."

1) 99% of journalists are shallow idiots,
2) pre-2005 almost no-one said "assistants",
3) "plucky assistant" is used at least a couple of times for sarcastic comic effect ("The Unicorn and the Wasp" and later by Missy) which is probably when non-fan journalists started to think is was OK.

Mijn schoonouders hadden waarschijnlijk (?) geen e-mail. In ieder geval heb ik nooit met ze gemaild.

Games like this are not inclusive. Anyone with certain divergences is going to a) interpret the questions very literally, and b) have a hard time interacting directly enough that they can get the answers, and the nerdy/geeky Barcamp catchment (much the same as EMF and similar events) is very much skewed in that direction.
