If I do attach that weight to it, that it may well be a weird dying gasp of a frustrating, wobbly era slowly burning out, then, well, that makes me wish these five episodes of the 26-episode D+ order had, perhaps, been spent differently.

But no, I'm choosing to just have had a good time with a compelling sci-fi miniseries that happens to also be a bit of #DoctorWho. More random shows should also be Doctor Who. That would be good, I think.

Anyway. I dunno, if I separate this from it being the last bit of #DoctorWho for a while, I loved that.

I've always adored RTD at his most angry romantic, and this played perfectly to my tastes, while always feeling fresh. Had a good time.

(Love how much Kate just gets to be kind of awful, the mid-credits scene a beautiful button to her story here. Men get to behave like this all the time. Love this for her.)

We were given the impression that they were visiting the bottom of the ocean. Outside the sphere beyond 300m is basically unsurvivable without extended decompression whatever you're wearing. Suits and helmets would waste valuable space and heavy clothing would cause excessive sweat and condensation.
People in submarines don't wear flimsy diving suits all the time 'just in case there's a leak when they're a few metres down'.

Also, they didn't seem to have ANY oxygen tanks at all (!?!?)

Also, the weird electrical cables inside the sphere appeared to be fastened with the kind of clips you attach with nails :-)
