Hoping all my friends headed to Singapore for #ICFPOOPSLA have a lot of fun. I wish I could say I'm not going for some sort of altruistic reason, like concern over environmental impact or solidarity with people who feel trapped in the US... but the truth is I love in-person conferences and just don't have the funding this year. I will be there in spirit/virtually, though, since I will be giving a remote talk for my #JFP paper "You Could Have Invented Fenwick Trees" (on Monday at 17:15, i.e. 04:15 in my local time zone).
