I've been thinking.
So fire bending in avatar is based on Northern Shaolin. A style that favours long-range power, explosive movement, strong foundations.

I imagine Infernape using Hóu Quán (monkey fist). It uses agility, deception, climbing, unusual body positions, and attacking from unexpected angles. It rewards creativity over rigidity. This is also how Ty Lee fights.

So if Ty Lee was a fire bender, she'd be more like a dancing wild flame contrasted with the fire nations direct and orderly movements.

So Ty Lee should be a fire bender and get her own infernape
