We're in year 3 of the "immunity debt" hypothesis & here's a headline, flu cases in Ohio are more than double the average of cases *between the 2017-2018 & 2022-2023 flu seasons*.

2 OF THE 5 FLU PERIODS IN THE AVERAGE were so anomalously high that somebody had to invent that stupid idea, and yet we're beating that average handily. Sure is taking us a long time to recover from that period when we weren't allowed to cough on each other back in 2021.

The notion that you have to get infected to avoid getting infected defies anything I’ve come across since I first entered medical school 50 years ago.

It is dangerous spin, which is being used to justify “Let it rip”.

Don’t get sucked in.

Ignore the title and reference to ivermectin. This article is not primarily political, but the title reflects how the pandemic in general is political. Don't let that turn you off.

The article explains our situation really well, including why so many hospitals are filling with sick kids. It's important that people understand the issues discussed in this post.

I see the Daily Mail is doing Daily Mail things this morning. Seriously, we're still using the language of "immunity debt" as if that isn't going to hurl us into science-denial hell? Does #ImmunityDebt attempt to describe a real phenomenon? Sort of? Immune systems need input to create antibodies. Ergo Covid is the constant, not unproven theory of Immunity Debt.
