Awesome rockery - pillow lavas, metabasalts, serpentinite, chert, chlorite greenschist, all kinds of mangled rock. One of three ophiolite zones in Scotland.

Moonrise, Garron Point, Stonehaven - quickly grabbed while the light was good with only a few percent battery remaining in the drone.

Inside the Core

If I've got my sums right, the blue rocks are mostly Dalradian metasedimetary stuff, the brighter yellow is carbonated serpentinite marking the line of the HBF.
