Concept: Bubble maze
The Player: A bubble.
The Plan: Use floaty, physics-based wind forces (WASD/Mouse)
The Logic: High bounciness + a dramatic particle effect "Pop!" on collision.
Fri: Create physics-based wind movement (WASD/Mouse).
Sat: Add hazards and "Pop" logic with big particle effects.
Sun: Finally polish bounciness and shaders.
The Goal: High juice, low complexity. Make every collision feel dramatic!

I did #globalgamejam this weekend, and one of my teammates used Procreate. He shared palette swatches which I could not open in @GIMP ...
...I took that as a personal challenge. :)
Afterwards I reviewed the files (zipped JSON) and few others I found online, and submitted a merge request to add initial support.

J'ai survécu à ma première game jam ce week-end !
Avec une excellente équipe de neuf (1 game designer, 3 dev, 4 artistes et 1 sound designer) on a créé en 48h le jeu ALMANIMASHI, un puzzle game où on doit récupérer des âmes égaréesJ'ai fait la DA d'un des 4 univers du jeu (celui en noir et blanc) et les pages d'accueil, crédits etc, je vous mettrai le lien quand les jeux de la jam seront en ligne

We finished Trash Bandits! It’s playable and even kinda fun. I’ll post a web playable link tomorrow after I write up some instructions for it.
A lot of the Minneapolis folks made games that were clearly about the current occupation. Our team had discussed it briefly, but ultimately went with something a bit easier to squeeze into 8 bits.
Photo attached is our team minus the 4th member that worked from home the final day.

We are constantly looking for more volunteers to help plan and organize events. You can also use your skills or if you want to practice doing something like social media management, contacting speakers or what ever you like to do!
With IGDA Lahti you can get contacts with people in the game industry and get to meet new people. You can also get free or cheaper tickets for bigger events like Pocket Gamer. You also get to join bonanza event that is a meeting with all IGDA Volunteers around the Finland!

It's #globalgamejam and I learn (again) that Unity hates dwm :( back to KDE I go but now I learn Unity also hates alt-tabbing!? Fun to see Unity's familiar face again even if these problems are also a little too familiar.

I made a blog post on itch.io. For the 2023 Global Game Jam, I developed a clicker game named Build Back Better. In the game, you have to collect resources and make upgrades to help the world tree grow.
Now I am working on an update for the game and the name is going to be Rebuild Back Better. The game will contain new graphics, longer gameplay, and enemies!
