Making a foam template that matches the curvature/profile of the glider's canopy. This allows me to determine if I have room to position various antennae as I finish installing the last instrument in the panel.
Note the oblique angle of the canopy through which the pilot must look when watching the runway during takeoff and landing. You really want a smooth canopy shape with no ripples, or you get a distorted view.

How a panel blew off a #Boeing #plane in mid-air
A piece of #fuselage tore off the left side of an #AlaskaAirlines jet following takeoff, forcing pilots to turn back and land safely. The refrigerator-sized panel popped off a Boeing #737MAX9 during the ascent of an Alaska Airlines flight. Reuters illustrates what that panel is for, other #airlines with the same configuration, and where they travel.

Women seen fitting out the fuselage of a DH Mosquito. It is safe to say that without a strong effort by the female workforce of Great Britain, Canada and Australia, the De Havilland Mosquito would not have become the war-winning aircraft that it did. Women undertook highly skilled work in the manufacturing sector, maintained the aircraft wearing uniform, and delivered the planes to the frontline in Europe, as members of the Air Transport Auxiliary. The port and starboard fuselage shells will soon be mated together, and the build completed. #WW2 #women #womenatwar #war #DeHavilland #DH98 #Mosquito #fuselage #AirTransportAuxiliary #RAF #SeconWorldWar #avgeek #history #UK #Canada #Australia #aircraft #warplane

Avro Ashton 2 (formerly a piston-engined Avro Tudor 2). This #fuselage section, displayed at Newark Air Museum, is a rare #artefact from the earliest days of jet travel. Powered by four #RollsRoyce Nene #jet engines, it was a research #aircraft intended to launch a generation of jet #airliners. Imho, it deserves to be housed inside a suitable display building. #aviation #airtransport #technology #history #photography #travel
