Design/UX question.
A form has 3 number inputs. Their values must add up to 100. If they don't, which should be flagged as invalid - the last one touched or all 3?
Or is there a better design?

These are some of the worst-written choices for a survey question I’ve ever seen. It seems like the person who wrote this doesn’t know how to write survey questions but also wanted to be deliberately misleading so they can get the kind of answers they want.

#FormDesign #Ethics "By reading this page, you agree to our privacy policy and terms of use." "Privacy policy" and "Terms of use" are links. I tap them. They bring me to a page that says, "By reading this page, you agree to our privacy policy and terms of use." Or "Cookie policy."
Anyone else see something wrong with this picture?

UX question.
I've got a date input for a certificate's expiry date. If there's no expiry date, the user needs to be able to flag this. A blank date input is unclear whether it's intentionally blank or skipped.
How do I make the input mandatory but allow no date? Separate checkbox? Is there a better way?

Oh my days, if you want to see an example of truly abominable form design just take a look at https://www.cadbury.co.uk/contact/ in a mobile device!

Sweet Mother of Jesus.
Who designed this shit? And why weren't they equipped with a baseball bat to hit the regulation people over the head.
I know very well about the constraints in complicated and heavily regulated systems and processes, but seriously, this is a crime against human-centred design.

Say you are designing a text field asking users to enter their GitHub profile, and it’s a required field, which label style do you prefer?

In all seriousness, is anyone able to tell me a valid reason for having someone's title as a mandatory form field?
FYI The legacy of how a backend system is set up is not a valid reason.

What fresh hell is this?!

This isn't how you do form field labels. #ux #formDesign

Interesting. When designing forms, I took the habit to consider every field as mandatory and indicating only optional fields.
This study advises the opposite. It's actually better to use an asterisk to mark required fields. #UX #FormDesign
