    "Defective Product"

Oh, yes, the perfect album cover!

I am not a musician myself, but as an academic I am rather tempted to use the title for my next textbook.

From the advance reviews: "Professor Castorp Roamer once again takes an unorthodox approach to a classical subject, turning seemingly unexciting technical topics into surprising learning events for the student. _Defective Product_ will lead the student to appreciate the open-endedness of our discipline. I will gladly use Roamer's book in my own courses, perhaps not as the main text (Roamer may be a little too anarchic for that task!), but as a must-read complementary second text."

  2. I'm really close to finishing my latest play, but I really, really suck at titles. What do people recommend? I have discounted "The Old Man and the Sea" and "A Tale of Two Cities", because they have nothing to do with the subject matter. "Mark Zuckerberg is a nonce" aligns with my personal feelings, but also fails to reflect the content of the play. How do YOU guys figure out titles for your writing?

  3. "2026 has already been a great year for new #Jewish #reads, from podcaster #BrookeAverick‘s delightful #romance debut “Phoebe Berman Is Gonna Lose It” to #LenaDunham‘s latest #memoir “Famesick.” Now, as we enter the summer months — prime beach #read and #bookclub in the park time — there are a whole new crop of Jewish #titles and/or books #written by Jewish #authors to peruse.

And trust me, they won’t disappoint.

There are multiple spy #thrillers with compelling Jewish characters, histories of the #Rothschilds and #Renoir’s Jewish models, and tales of girlhood, Jewish motherhood and intergenerational trauma. There are even #queer #demons, #dybbuks and #golems, oh my!

Read on for our full list of new #Jewishbooks we’re excited to read this summer."

  6. Search Engine Land: YouTube test replaces video titles with AI summaries. Gross! “Google is testing AI-generated summaries in YouTube feeds, replacing video titles with auto-written synopses. Some YouTube users are seeing video titles replaced by AI-generated summaries in the Android app. Reports on Reddit showed title-less video cards with collapsible summary boxes instead.”
