Some personal truths I'm also holding on to in these #DarkTimes :
5.) #Kink matters. #Pleasure matters. My coming out as and identifying as #Bisexual matters. All the work I have done to know myself and my body matters. The journey I have been on to understand my #trauma, to learn to sit with feelings of #shame and darkness and death, matters. Knowing myself matters. What I need and who I am matters. My feelings matter. Naming my needs and wants matters. My pain and joy both matter. Knowing what my body wants and needs matters. I matter. I am worthy as a human being. I have #compassion and #kindness, and I have resisted the normalization of #covid. I left #FundamentalistChristianity and its tyranny. I've looked for ways to protect people who are vulnerable and myself. I've questioned #Capitalism and #WhiteSupremacy. I've sought to see the god within everyone. These things matter. #Empathy matters. #Justice matters.

Other things that I know now and that I must hold on to in these dark, #fascistic times:
2.) #EnthusiasticConsent, #EmbodiedKnowledge, #BodilyAutonomy, #ReproductiveRights and the freedom to say yes or no to what my body wants and knows, to even sit with my body and know what my body wants and knows, all matter. I must strive to understand my body, to know what I want and need through my body, to listen to my body. My body is sacred, and it will protect me and see me through this situation, these experiences, whatever may come. Rest matters. Movement matters. My body is mine and not a tool for the reproduction of the #patriarchy or propoganda for #queerphobia or a machine to be used by #capitalism
