Lorne Lofsky I saw in a very intimate setting at the Elora Mill. Ed Bickert was a long time member of the Boss Brass big band and Moe Kaufmann quintet.

I guess you are aware of the fine recordings with Paul Desmond? Mosaic put out an entire box, and it's glorious! Seems it's gone already, but it's not too expensive:
