My dog loves going outside around 1pm. For no reason other than to lay in the sun on the little patch of concrete in the parking lot outside my apartment.
She’ll lay here for 10-15 minutes and then just get up and go back inside. It’s become a bit of a mid-day reset for me which is a nice side benefit.

Our one dog has degenerative myelopathy which is like ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) only in dogs. He has lost the use of his back legs and his front legs are getting weaker now as the disease progresses. He is still able to go on walks, which he loves, using his front legs in a quad wheelchair, but we've been having to lift him to move him around inside the house which was doing a number on my back, so I bought a kids' sled to make him a bed that we can slide around the house to wherever we are. It appears he likes it since he settled right down to take a nap. 🙂
