  10. The US turned 250 this month.

A perfect opportunity for our colleagues at DW Data to do a bit of digging and put together a couple of charts.

Their key question: Has America shaped the world by leading – or by pulling back? From founding-era neutrality to superpower status to today's "America First" moment, Gianna-Carina Grün and Peter Hille trace the swings between isolation and intervention that built modern US foreign policy.

  14. Nein?! Doch!! Oh!!

  17. "When official information is difficult to obtain, reporters turn to court filings, leaks, community reporting and independently assembled datasets to reconstruct events. Those methods (...) are common in countries where governments tightly control information, but are becoming more familiar in the United States as federal agencies release less detailed data about immigration enforcement."
