🚨 CfA - We are looking for a new colleague (3 years, 65%)!
Candidates should be willing to do a PhD in Political Science and be interested a) in concepts such as #Polarization, #Politicization, #Democracy, #Sustainability and b) in methods of #ComputationalSocialScience and / or #DataLinkage.
I am happy to provide more information about a highly interesting position in a very nice team and department that is located at the (only) lake in Muenster! Deadline: 11.06.2023! @politicalscience

Developing models for consent in health data research is not straightforward. Three articles I used this week to contrast my views & practice:
Overview of approaches:
https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11019-022-10074-3https://bmcmedethics.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12910-020-00519-w argues for #InformedConsent since commonly invoked arguments "duty of easy rescue", "only insignificant harms", and "consent bias" do not establish a perfect duty.
Partly in response, https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/17470161211058311 for an opposing view in the context of #DataLinkage.

Really still trying to connect, also with the international community. I am working in #healthservicesresearch at the #UniversityofCologne, heading a research group of 12. I am mostly working of secondary/ #claimsdata analysis, also #datamanagement and #datalinkage. Other work topics are #integratedcare and #businesscase development for #HealthIT.
Outside work I do #DIY ( #woodworking #metalworking ), #gardening and #beekeeping
