oh the data is really big, i should save it as parquet instead of csv, as a gift to future me , i thought
turns out pyarrow doesn’t like R metadata- it WILL work if you explicitly say ignore metadata.
still, this is not how i expected it to go.
(i am attempting to validate some data and test some python code by comparing to R intermediate and output data)
