Look guys, in 1999 Bill Schelter released the DOE version of Macsyma he'd been solo maintaining for 20 years called Maxima, and in the 26 years since a small band of maintainers many of whom were contributors to the original thing at MIT have been maintaining and enhancing it. And Y'ALL just SLEEPING on this shit like it doesn't exist. How many of y'all even have it up in your computer? Install that shit and start doing math.

I have a Ph.D in #ComputerAlgebra and am in charge of the care and feeding of a number of /heavy/ subsystems in Maple. So, sometimes I do important work, like going through the #pokemon type advantage graph and look for five type subsets that are isomorphic to the graph of Rock-Paper-Scissors-Lizard-Spock. There is exactly one.

Heute habe ich in der Packstation meines Vertrauens das Buch »#Computeralgebra mit Maxima, Grundlagen der Anwendung und Programmierung« von Wilhelm Haager abgeholt. Ich konnte es aber bisher nur kurz durchblättern. Doch es scheint genau das zu sein, was ich mir gewünscht habe.
