#coldcall s are getting worse and worse. Just had a call from a German number (where I do not currently live) from someone not introducing himself at first, speaking English (neither my first nor my day to day language). Marketing company such and such. Told them to get rid of my number, I’m not interested in any of these calls.
After they hang up, I had several further calls, all seemingly from German cell phone numbers-these times not saying anything of substance (just background noise). -
I don't believe this applies to anyone here. I just need to vent.
If you're cold-calling someone in order to promote your services, it's usually not the best idea to start your pitch by insulting them.
Just a thought.

Absolutely - but even one cold call is too much. If you have a good product, and I need something like it, I will find you.
If you really want an opportunity to promote your product to people not actively looking for such a solution - maybe because they don't know it exists - that's what tradeshows and fluff magazines are for.
One cold call, and I guarantee I'm never buying *anything* from your company.
