When you need to pay bills and you missed the bank’s notice of maintenance for its online services because it was posted on social media and not on the app or sent through email. 🤬

No mr. energy-bill-compensation-salesman, I don't want to hear your sales talk when I'm waiting for someone to pick me up from the station. And no, if I tell you 7 times I'm not interested before you stop you didn't end the conversation just because you say "then I end the conversation now" with emphasise on the "I". I ended it, finally...
Well, even if I would fall for that #bullshit I know who not to approach...

What are some annoyances or issues in video games that you're glad are gone?
For me, I'm glad that online passes were abandoned. An online pass was a code you'd get with a game that usually locked away multiplayer or sometimes items & missions untill you entered the code & downloaded the DLC. These codes were given to you when you got a game new, but if you got a game used & the code in the box was claimed, you'd have to pay $10 to unlock the same content.

I want to read this because I have been feeling as if the web and other worlds of media I experience have been shrinking thanks to algorithms that both shove too much of the same thing into my recommendations and don’t surface enough other things I would like to see/read/listen to/etc. 🙄 How about teaching AI to actually know what I want or might be interested in, instead of whatever else you’re making it do? 😒
