Meowowowowow.. Circuit bent casio PT 80. Those distinct square waves these things put out through a unison effect. A nice sound with an almost ancient retro character. Been a while since i did any of this bending stuff. Nice to still have the mojo for it.

Amiga tracker fidelity circuit bent drums running off of a real tracker. Nice old school sound reminding me of Akai S1000s and octamed type things. Like 90s era nine inch nails or something. Circuit bent machine shoe horned into a eurorack module. All the cronch without the annoying toy machine form factor. Housed in an upcycled C64c case.

I went to #Nunavut in the #arctic to do #artisticresearch into the reaction of #ice and #water to the climate crisis through sound. I developed #circuitbent instruments from scientific equipment usually used to measure properties of water, like temperature and acidity. The resulting #art #Music The Matter of the Soul, has been performed around the globe including at COP24 in 2018.

I’m presenting my methods as part of the #SoundingElements at the Royal Geographical Society tomorrow.

There are two Major Morgans btw in the other photo, one circuitbent and the other untouched (so far) - top left, blue little dudes.

I really should do more circuit bending but time, that's the issue!

Look what I've found in my garage! My middle school Bontempi mini piano keyboard in great conditions. It happens to be one of the best to be #circuitbent, so I'm going to have some fun trying to get some #noise out of it.
