Pillé un cacharro en wallapop y de las ansias que tenía de enseñarlo a las amigas me pareció bien montar un vídeo-presentación (en todas las presentaciones estelares suena anaesthesia en mi cabeza, no sé) de camino al supermercado. Menos mal que vivo en un sitio tranquilo, pisé una mierda seca, però.

Just finished repairing / cleaning this Casiotone MT-100 that we got for $5 at an estate sale. I want to use some of the voices in a track but the sliders were so dirty they were breaking the electrical connection. Now it looks like new and sounds fantastic! These things are so fun.

I'm all set for EDM right? 😁
I had the old pioneer apart because it had (or I thought) flaky speaker crackling so I was checking for cold solder joints, which it had none. When I was searching for the speakers I found the old Realistic Concertmate 400, a rebadged Casiotone MT-35.

Dug out my old Casiotone VL-1 (VL-TONE) this morning. I bought this new, so it's.. quite old - must be well over 40 years old?
Amazingly it still works. I had forgotten it actually has an ADSR mode where you can "design*" the sound!!
*For a certain definition of "design"

Meowowowowow.. Circuit bent casio PT 80. Those distinct square waves these things put out through a unison effect. A nice sound with an almost ancient retro character. Been a while since i did any of this bending stuff. Nice to still have the mojo for it.
