@ascentale @bikenite I’m in Telford this weekend in a YHA. Spending the weekend having #christmasfun with the extended family. In the old days this would have included a grotto with Santa but these days it’s Christmas Markets and lights! #bikenite

Near Victoria in British Columbia is a magnificent group of floral display gardens called Butchart Gardens. Every year they decorate with lights for the holidays, and the theme this year is The Twelve Days of Christmas.

I joined a group on a bus tour to the gardens and we thoroughly enjoyed a couple of hours appreciating the sights. As we walked around we heard countless people singing to remind themselves of the song when they came across the various tableaux depicting the different days. We also enjoyed seeing small children excited to see animated characters and moving light displays with squeals of delight.
