“Ensuring that CDCR facilities have adequate infrastructure is critical to the health & safety of the incarcerated population and staff,” said Mary Xjimenez, a spokesperson for #CDCR, in an emailed statement. The CDCR said it has $246 million in projects underway to address cooling at 5 institutions & is working on a statewide plan to address the problem.

CDCR is very backwards in their prison reforms, they do not rehabilitate, rather than use the head count for cash. The poor-quality food, healthcare almost non-existent, and the appalling mess of the cells, say it all!
