Back when I worked for a small, local library in 2017, I set up a display for #BannedBooksWeek (but left the display up for a month). And yeah... Back then, I did NOT know that JK Rowling was a TERF, but did know that some of the local fundamentalist Christians thought that Harry Potter was the work of the devil -- so, of course I had to include it in the display!

Sent each of the damned semi-delinquent grandchildren a book instead of the money they probably want for the holidays. #CatcherInTheRye Play that on your damned phones!

The Unfilmable Film: Why The Catcher in the Rye Absolutely Can—and Should—Be Adapted

Reading the Catcher in the Rye for my friends book club and am very entertained by Holden and his young rambling mind. Have you read this book ? What do you think ? #Ch9

“So,” he said, in reference to NCT Dream, “you want to stand on the cliff and keep the boys from falling off of it. Tell me, are you surrounded by grain in this scenario?”

I'll say it out loud: #React is the web dev equivalent of Catcher in the Rye.

I will not be taking any questions at this time.

#jdsalinger #CatcherInTheRye #useEffect you #phony.

There is a certain sort of symmetry to someone saying "Dunning-Kruger isn't real" next to a Holden Caufield-themed avatar. #CatcherInTheRye #dunningkruger

"Ist es nicht schön, wie wir untergehn' an den Ufern der alten Tagträumer-Seen..."

That line is still wedged in my brain after nearly 30 years. Today, I definitely understand WHY I love that line but I am wondering. How did a twelve-year-old understand that line without 'understanding' it?

Weird.

It's kinda how 40yo me only about now realises what 15yo actually loved about the #CatcherInTheRye

@raccoonformality @bookstodon I know it's one of the classics, I know people who love it more than any other, but I could never understand what people saw in that book.

I'm more of a 'To Kill A Mocking Bird' fan!

@Kitchi yes 👏🏼 👏🏼 #CatcherInTheRye was one of my fave books read in high school.

Initial testing with #deepai seems encouraging but I need to research more that I can roll my own.

There are limits to #paid that I might need to go over at some point.

Possibly, after getting this going having it as a learning set for a new #machinelearning model but looking forward to see what more there can be.

Here is paragraph 1, page 1 of Catcher of the Rye for #deepai
