  2. I've been to New Orleans many times in my life but not since Hurricane Katrina. Remedying that by kicking off my next tour with an April Fool's Day lecture at Tulane's Howard-Tilton Memorial Library & an Apr 5th performance w/laptopist Carl Stone at Silver City Grocery in Algiers Point.

Carl opens the evening with a solo set; the collaboration follows.

  3. I first heard #CharlieBuel’s (1943-1994) music, a piece entitled “Cocktails on Mars”, on #CarlStone’s “Imaginary Landscapes” program on #KPFK. Here is an album of his music, entitled Last Works. youtube.com/watch?v=9DxW5Mr4zu #ExperimentalMusic

  4. A couple of highlights of the first day of Tectonics 2023 in Glasgow today:

    1. Carl Stone, with a blood-quickening and visceral set of his own unique sample-based music. Hard to believe he started doing this in the early 1970s at CalArts. What a journey.

    2. Semay Wu, with a playful but also very intense improvised soundscape of many component parts that was just beautiful to watch. The great in the small.

  7. Deskatxarre total. Carl Stonen "Stolen Car" diskoa berriz entzuten, 2020an utzi nuen "entzun beharrekoen" karpetan, eta madre de las Diosas, a ze frikada guapoa. Samplerrekin egindako pop disko bat, ez da batere pop, aldi berean erabat pop. Tipo honekin tren baten 10 orduko bidaia bat egingo nuke gustura eta galderak bakarrik egingo nizkioke. carlstone.bandcamp.com/album/s #CarlStone #MusikaExperimentala #Sampledelia #Electronica
