  1. #WordWeavers day 20: If you could write a tie-in novel for any movie, TV show, or game, what would it be?

After looking up what a "tie-in novel" is, (which looks a bit like approved fan fiction to me), I think I'd love to write some Blake's Seven adventure.

  2. Just finished rewatching Series 1 of Blake's Seven 💫, and Orac appears in the final episode ... though I'm sure his voice changed later on. Also he appears to have 4 USB slots (?) which was good in 1978.

If you can overlook cheap sets and props and that it's a bit "Shakespeare in Space", there's a lot of good things. Paul Darrow (Avon) and Jackie Pearce (Servelan) both magnificent. Stephen Greif (Travis, in S1) too.

  7. I'm sorry, but this critical Blake’s 7 news needs boosts :boost_requested:. If you know, you know ...!

"As reported by Gizmodo and other outlets ... surprisingly, this will also include updated special effects. No, these won’t be of the CGI variety, but rather, brand-new exterior spaceship VFX using practical models"

  10. Also, the production values would make fans of classic Doctor Who or Blake's 7 swoon. Wobbly sets, cuts to poorly made model vehicles, watching computer graphics made on a Commodore 64. Fantastic retro sci-fi.

  11. Feeling quite old seeing adverts for Silent Witness on the #TV and thinking “Oh, that’s Dayna from #blakesSeven” 😂

    I wonder what Soolin’s up to nowadays…..
