CF Signals: Solenoid – Anstrengend [Black Hole Transmissions]

Solenoid returns to Black Hole Transmissions with NeuGroove, his fourth release on the label and a six-track collection built around deep, raw, groove-driven techno. The Berlin-based producer has been developing this sound across his previous releases for the label, and NeuGroove continues that thread with tracks that move between Detroit influences, hypnotic rhythms, changing percussion, and heavy low-end pressure.

From the deep groove of Tritech to the Detroit-leaning pulse of Back To Detroit, the release keeps its focus firmly on rhythm. Hard Stab, Glass, and Escoria add different shades to the same world, bringing subtle melodies, throbbing basslines, shifting hats, and carefully placed percussion into the mix. There is a certain patience in the way Solenoid builds these tracks, allowing the groove to develop through repetition and small changes rather than relying on oversized gestures.

Our premiere, Solenoid — Anstrengend, closes the release with a particularly hypnotic take on the NeuGroove formula. Deep grooves and restrained melodic elements sit beneath a pounding kick, while the track repeatedly intensifies and pulls back, creating a constant push and pull between tension and release. The result feels physical and slightly restless, with enough movement in the arrangement to keep the floor engaged without breaking its hypnotic spell.

With NeuGroove, Black Hole Transmissions adds another chapter to its catalogue of uncompromising techno, while Solenoid continues to shape a sound that feels equally connected to the warehouse and the deeper side of the machine. Anstrengend brings the six-track journey to its final stretch, leaving the groove running long after the last kick hits.

CF Signals: Dark Matter Project – Velocity Shift [Black Hole Transmissions]

London-based producer Shane dB, also operating as Dark Matter Project, steps up the game with the release of Hollow Signal on his Black Hole Transmissions label. This new body of work arrives during a period of high creative momentum, acting as the direct follow-up to Space Time Emotion, which was released earlier in February 2026.

https://clubfuries.com.mx/2026/06/30/cfs-solenoid-simulay-decay-bht008/

The EP kicks off with «Velocity Shift», a heavy-hitting techno track built to drive immediate energy onto the dancefloor. Its lead riff was crafted by chopping an atmospheric sample to enhance its drive, paired with a high-register synth that glides upward in pitch, introduced in brief fragments before unleashing the full sequence.

The track delivers a sound that feels compact yet remarkably weightless, unfolding like a continuous, shimmering cluster of crystals. As it reaches its climax, the arrangement forces these sonic particles into a full collision, triggering a striking, diamond-like burst of light and texture across the mix.

Following this blast, the track seamlessly reclaims its initial pressure and intensity through an eager, rising tempo. As it unfolds, the atmosphere briefly clears to shed the heavy tension, offering a glimpse of light at the end of the psychological tunnel… or so it seems.

CF Signals: Apigenin – Future Proof [Black Hole Transmissions]

Apigenin is the Berlin-based project formed by Solenoid, a three-decade veteran of the techno scene, and his nephew mmoonn, a musician and visual artist. Their collaboration finds a compelling balance between experience and contemporary sensibility, united by a shared fascination with the hypnotic potential of groove. Two generations converge around a common understanding of techno as a language of repetition, immersion, and perceptual transformation.

https://clubfuries.com.mx/2026/06/07/cfs-apigenin-focused-bht007/

Their second EP for Black Hole Transmissions delves deeper into that territory. Across four compositions, the duo develops a sound rooted in deep textures, functional repetition, and rhythmic structures that favour gradual absorption over immediate impact. Each track explores a different variation of the same principle, the ability of groove to engage both the body and the mind at once.

Future Proof expands upon the atmosphere established by the opening track through enveloping synthesizers and deeply grounded rhythmic patterns. Additional percussive elements introduce movement and spatial depth, while melodic layers evolve patiently toward increasingly immersive states. Every transformation feels purposeful, contributing to a seamless and carefully controlled flow.

From the outset, the level of immersion is striking. The sound gradually surrounds the listener, creating a trance-like state that unfolds to its fullest potential throughout the track. The progression remains steady and deliberate, shaping intricate sonic labyrinths that seem to contain both the mystery and the solution within themselves. Time feels folded and stretched, as if different moments of the composition were coexisting inside the same expanding continuum.

With this second release, Apigenin further consolidates a vision centred on the most immersive aspects of contemporary techno. Rather than relying on immediate formulas, the duo builds its language through precision, patience, and gradual evolution. In Future Proof, that approach reaches a particularly evocative form. The future suggested by its title appears neither as promise nor destination, but as an open territory where every structure, rhythm, and perception is continuously tested.

Their second EP for Black Hole Transmissions delves deeper into that territory. Across four compositions, the duo develops a sound rooted in deep textures, functional repetition, and rhythmic structures that favour gradual absorption over immediate impact. Each track seems to explore a different variation of the same question. How far can a groove carry the listener when given enough time to unfold?

The journey begins with Focused, a piece that immediately establishes the character of the release. Hypnotic sequences, precise percussion, and a restrained sonic architecture create a feeling of continuous forward motion. Nothing feels rushed. Every modulation, microscopic variation, and subtle frequency shift contributes to sustaining tension while the structure evolves almost imperceptibly.

https://soundcloud.com/clubfuriess/cfs-apigenin-focused-bht007

There is also a sense of depth that extends beyond the purely sonic dimension. The track unfolds across an expanded temporality where past and future coexist within the same current. Echoes of classic hypnotic techno traditions interact with a distinctly contemporary sensibility, creating a compelling dialogue between familiarity and exploration. The result feels almost ritualistic, as though time itself has ceased to fragment and instead flows as a single uninterrupted continuum.

With this second release, Apigenin further consolidates a vision centred on the most immersive aspects of contemporary techno. Rather than relying on immediate formulas, the duo builds its language through precision, patience, and gradual evolution. A space where groove, hypnosis, and depth no longer operate as separate elements, but as different expressions of the same moving force.

Solenoid – Ritual [Black Hole Transmissions]

Black Hole Transmissions is a collaborative digital label formed by the London-based Dark Matter Project and German producer Solenoid. For the label’s upcoming release, Solenoid returns after last year’s Neural Implants, this time delivering an EP of deep, hypnotic techno that further solidifies his sonic identity.

https://clubfuries.com.mx/2026/01/29/cfp-dark-matter-project-acid-pain-bht004/

Vertical Drift traces a path through minimal and hypnotic techno, where relentless rhythms, razor-sharp hi-hats, and enveloping synth layers build a deep, almost meditative atmosphere. Throughout its opening tracks, the EP moves fluidly between trance, sustained tension, and sonic magnetism, carefully setting the conceptual and emotional groundwork for its closing moment.

https://soundcloud.com/clubfuriess/cfp-solenoid-ritual-bht005

The final track, Ritual, stands out with flashes of fast-moving acid synths layered over a strong, driving rhythm. Its opening, marked by shimmering trance-inflected tones, cleverly conceals what is yet to come. Gradually, the sound design unfolds with clarity: acid droplets fall slowly and precisely, transporting the listener to a space where the nostalgic and the utopian coexist. Emotions and sensations become fully saturated, wrapped in a sound that is both beautiful and powerful.

Intensity is handled with restraint, shifting between refreshing momentum and moments of controlled calm. It is a form of strength that knows when to assert itself and when to withdraw, supported by a versatile sonic structure that allows for both tight, focused passages and expansive, immersive stretches. With this release, Solenoid once again demonstrates his command of raw, deep, and hypnotic techno. He never disappoints.
