Good morning everyone 🌞 Bright again today and warmer than of late at a balmy 9 degrees C. The #parrots are happily settled down to breakfast and Jadie has her apple slice, so I am back in the good books again 😊 . Her new bowl arrived yesterday, as did some poop guards I saw. The problem with where Ziggy's wet bowl sits is that it is right under her main perch so it doesn't take long before it has to be removed. I'm hoping these guards might work to allow me to leave it in longer. I will try and fit all of this later when they are out. Yesterday evening was spent refitting the papers on all of the attachments for Toby's ropes - the paper stops him from feeding the metal disks resulting in constant cleaning, but it needs replacing from time to time. #petsofmastodon #birdsofmasotodon #BirdsOfFediverse #goodmorning

The #crochet slippers are done and the yarn I ordered arrived too, so I can get on with the next custom toy today.

I love how my my #parrots request for treats to be put on their foraging toys at basically 14, every day 😂 Maaaaybe half an hour shift this way or that, but they start asking, and you know what time it is 😂

I've seen a few variations in colour schemes on local king parrots, but this is the most radical. Not bright orange (adult male), green (females & young males), or even mottled (teenage boys😂), this one has a grey head & neck, and the rest of its colour is relatively pale & washed out.

When I cropped the pic, I noticed I'd half caught another king parrot in the background, wearing an unusual pale green neck band. 🤷‍♂️
