Good morning you lovely lot 💕 I'm up with the parrots today and having a very quick cuddle with Ziggy before jumping back into work. Yesterday was bonkers - meeting after meeting, and all because the client insists on working against their own best interests. Crazy stuff, and today looks to be more of the same.

Grant took Jadie for another beak trim yesterday and I think the vet may have been a bit too enthusiastic with it again as she wasn't eating last night. Once I put their lights on for breakfast we'll see how it goes. It might require some baby food / mash on a spoon if she's finding it too tender to chew her pellets. This beak thing with Jadie is a constant. Because she has a scissor beak which the previous owners just let grow , she now needs constant maintenance poor lass. It was so bad when we got her that she couldn't actually chew her pellets and had taught herself to dip them in her water to soften them up, bless her 🤗

Right, I'd better get myself moving and distract Ziggy from her China dig again so she can get her medication and breakfast 😊

I am more than worried about Sherbert. The picture is the opposite of what I was trying to convey ~ that she is miserable and exhausted. It's her eyes ~ they just look ... sad. 🥺 🦜

Good morning everyone ☀️ I'm up with the parrots today and feeling a lot better after the last couple of days 😊 I'm currently sitting having a cuddle with Ziggy, who is curled up in my hand, grumbling away and occasionally looking up at the java tree with suspicion. Yes, that java tree that I bought for the parrots and which they all continue to ignore 😂 Even coaxing Toby onto it with a strategically placed dried papaya piece in the little bowl only lasts for as long as the treat. Then he's off to try and get behind the telly again to chew wires 🤦‍♀️

Ziggy is now down the side of the couch digging her hole to China again. She's so hormonal right now it's ridiculous. I keep distracting her from her nesting, but this often results in a painful nip for me for daring to do so, although this time it has ended up with painful face preening instead. It's okay, I can take it 😁

We did the medicine and "Come! Come!" a moment ago, but now Zigs has decided she prefers being with me to having breakfast so we'll sit here a while longer. Plans after that are lots of coffee, then Parrot Kitchen and crochet later. The competition toy is finished so I will work on my existing order and a new one came in yesterday I need to get ready for too.

I'm up later today after a long lie interrupted only by Toby yelling. Grant has gone birding this morning and the girls were ever so good when he left, but Toby had other ideas 🥴 I'm still a bit wibbly wobbly, but luckily I don't have to work until Tuesday so hopefully will be in better form by then.

I do plan to put the finishing touches to the competition toy today so I can get it posted on Tuesday and also to work on the latest toy order so it will be a slow crochet day for me. I may need to bring a fan into use if it's going to be hot though as there's nothing worse than trying to crochet with squeaky yarn 😊

Good morning Fellow Travellers on the Galactic Spiral Arm 🌌 I'm up with the parrots again today after a very early night - afternoon really - yesterday. This cold, which I thought had shifted, came back with a vengeance and two hospital trips in one day proved too much for me on top of that, so I was gonked out in bed at four thirty 🥴 Feeling much better for it today thankfully, but my battery is still very flat, so I don't think I'll be doing much more today other than resting.

Ziggy is sitting in my hand, head upside down, looking at me intently and grumbling away to herself. I love it when they really look at you. You can see in their wee eyes how focused they are on you, as though you are the only thing in their world at that moment. It's very special 😊

Right. "Come! Come!" has been demanded so I'm going to sort her out and then probably head back to bed for the day otherwise I might crash. Hopefully I can be more productive tomorrow!

I'm hoping this will be the last one, but it will depend on what happens when they check the gel under ultraviolet a few hours later when we make the second trip. Still, I have shiny new face skin from all of this so who needs Botox eh? 😁

Crochet was better yesterday. Things worked as planned and the muses were kind. It's amazing the difference a day makes. I should finish up the competition toy today now all going well between hospital visits. I also need to fit in some Parrot Kitchen though, so we'll see how the day pans out.

Ziggy had settled into my hand for a wee cuddle after biting me hard on the neck and hand just a moment ago for what transgression I haven't a clue. It's hormones time and she's definitely worked up, one moment as sweet as can be and the next a little green demon. 🥴 I often wonder if the big dinosaurs underwent the same hormonal changes. Can you imagine, a bunch of T-Rex running around ripping lumps out of one another just for looking at each other the wrong way! 😁

Plans for today are solid crochet after having very little time yesterday again due to a hold up with Ziggy's meds that has us waiting at the vet for ages. I *will* finish the competition toy this week so help me!
