"Quinn the #Eskimo (The Mighty Quinn)" is a #folkrock song written and first recorded by #BobDylan in 1967 during the #BasementTapes sessions. The song's first release was in January 1968 as "Mighty Quinn" in a version by the British band #ManfredMann, which became a great success. It has been recorded by a number of performers, often under the "Mighty Quinn" title. The subject of the song is the arrival of Quinn (an Eskimo), who changes despair into joy.

First time logging back into soundcloud since 2020...I think I stopped posting there because I was about to run out space...might have got annoyed at other stuff, not sure.

I'm messing around with music/art this morning. Over on my music alt @homophony I've been exploring #funkwhale for sharing music on the #fediverse.
To test things out I uploaded some #BasementTapes of #synth-ified #experimental #chill #music

Which I think means anyone should be able to view and play this playlist of #BasementTapes? If any lovely listener out there without a funkwhale account can access and listen, and I'd bee curious to know if it worked!
