Not seen since the blizzard, Chicken is back, no longer pregnant but very hungry.
Been hanging around all day, so its unlikely she has kittens to take care of somewhere?
First saw her last night, coming from the field on the other side of the road.
Either they are safely tucked away in a warm cow barn there, or the deep winter delivery did not go well 💔
Gave her something to eat and she's chilling (literally) in the sun now.

Here's the promised update on Eggo the #BarnCat!
Things started off well when he didn't try and rip my face off when I put him in the carrier, and he was pretty chill on the drive to the clinic. (Tbh I'm proud of the #Miata for holding up to this work load.) He was such a good boy that he even showed off his Very Good™ hiding skills! :blobcatmeltcry:
We did confirm internal parasites, and he was given Profender and Revolution Plus. We don't want to overwhelm him with medications, so we'll give him time to process those, and see where to go from there. He's been scheduled for vaccinations next week.
Thank you so much everyone that helped. It was such a pleasant surprise to see this visit was covered! 🙏

The goats decided to bust out the window of the barn today in an attempt to make their escape. Though they just sat right outside the barn and didn't go very far. 😆
When I woke up and walked outside to handle the animals Yuki, our Great Pyrenees, was doing his alarm bark so ran out there to check what was going on. He was stuck in the barn because he's a good boy and thankfully decided not to jump out too. I let him out of the gate and went and wrangled the goats and brought them back. For only being 4 months old, he's already proving quite helpful around here!
I have the barn window boarded up so they don't get back out and hopefully the weather cooperates tomorrow so I can replace the glass.

We got him from Workimg Whiskers (our local animal shelter’s feral / barn cat program) and he immediately became a member of the family. He follows us around the farm to do chores with us and is a master mouser. He even caught a vole a few days ago!
