The good news is that Sabrina actually climbed on me /touched and sniffed me.
The bad news is that I can't have tuna for dinner anymore. -
What do you think might be the culprit? At least four birds killed on the edge of a golf course at the edge of forested river verge in the past month, all within 30 metres of each other. Nearest houses are 150 metres away. I wouldn't think a cat would be so predictable with its kills, unless near where it lived. They're not small birds that have been killed either, including a Sulphur-crested Cockatoo and a Wood Duck. I don't think they're from golf ball strikes either.

WELL THEN. Guess how we found out they separated #MamaLemon from her #kittens and released her back to the streets? She's been here, searching and calling for her babies for hours now. We thought she had escaped, so I called the shelter and they explained they released her. At least she's sterilised now. Poor mama 😢

So, I finally have some progress to report on the feral cat situation! The official TNR instance for our municipality actually answered this time. They said they'll try to come out and trap #MamaLemon and #TuxTheCat as soon as they can, but they are also way over capacity at the moment so there's still going to be a waiting list.
The good news is they're finally ON that waiting list now.

The first thing I saw when I came downstairs this morning was mama Lemon looking at me through the window, wondering why breakfast was taking so long 🤣 While she was yelling and hissing at me I suddenly heard another meow, and as I looked up I saw a startled Tux scampering away again.
So yeah, looks like they're both here to stay for the foreseeable future. (Still no luck getting a TNR set up, made another attempt today)
