Sure, it's good that they pulled Johnson & Johnson baby powder from the market.
But it's the only household substance I found that completely confounded and deterred every type of ant in every part of the US.
And yes, I tried all the spices, and peppermint oil. None were as effective. The J&J perfumed talc was much harsher to all the ants, and they really didn't like walking on it.

J&J is attempting to resolve those lawsuits, as well as any future talc lawsuits, through an $8.9 billion settlement in bankruptcy court.
"J&J says that its talc products are safe and do not contain asbestos.
"J&J has stopped selling talc-based Baby Powder in favor of cornstarch-based products, citing an increase in lawsuits and 'misinformation' about the talc product's safety."

The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals dismissed a bankruptcy filing by a Johnson & Johnson spinoff company, ruling that the company was not in genuine financial distress.
The court noted that the spinoff company still has access to Johnson & Johnson's assets, worth an estimated $61.5 billion.
