Die Grammatik der Anglisten ist für mich sowieso ein Graus. Ich kenne keine Schulgrammatik, die selbst die häufigsten Phänomene zufriedenstellend beschreibt. Unter "there+be" würde ich zum Beispiel Angaben dazu erwarten. welche Verben anstelle von to be ebenfalls verbreitet sind (z.B. seem, appear, remain), welche weniger (z.B. stand im simple present) und welche nicht (present progressive).
