6 km #Lauf mit Ylvi in ganz lockerem Tempo. Die Runde am Rad vor zwei Tagen hat die Pfote nicht geschafft, diesmal hat sie gehalten! Bewegung muss tatsächlich sein, denn der Schnitt ist an einer Stelle, die beim Stehen und Gehen arbeitet und unter Spannung gerät.
War das schwül heute! Da war ich doch echt froh um die paar Regentropfen.

Just found a pair of Altra Olympus 5's on sale. I was hoping to get a pair of Timp 5's to test, but with just over 3 weeks left until the race I'm going for what I know will work, and keep my feet protected.
If I can get through 50 miles in one piece then I can start to look forward and experiment. Also I've never worn shoes down so quickly before, so there's that too :D

Reflecting back on this last training block since Feb/March. I'm blown away by the progress over time. Being able to hammer out a 91km training week last week has me feeling confident I'm prepared for the upcoming 50 miler.
Heading into the last 4 week cycle, which also includes tapering -

I've gone ahead and done it. I've started a marathon running program (12 weeks + 3 weeks base building), with the aim of running a marathon on my birthday!
