A sneaky outing in a single #sculling on the Wear before heading off to Newcastle, early flight tomorrow. A glorious morning, warm enough for September and bright sunshine. Starting an hour later means no lights but a little more traffic, two other singles were out from DARC, freshers next weekend so the colleges will be back soon.

No #TrailRunning today, instead I took the morning off to go on a short #skitour with my eldest son over the #Schartenkogel to the summit of the #Glungezer at 2677m. An easy ski tour with fantastic views, only about 10 minutes away from where I live.
The weather gods were friendly the last few days, we got some snow in the mountains. Enough to ski down in fresh #powder ... doesn't get much better!

A little skitour up the Roßkopf in Niederau near the #WilderKaiser with a friend of mine in perfect weather. Lovely views from about 1800m.
This was only my second skitour this year, so despite my extensive #TrailRunning, I felt it in my thighs. But no gain without pain 😁
