A sneaky outing in a single #sculling on the Wear before heading off to Newcastle, early flight tomorrow. A glorious morning, warm enough for September and bright sunshine. Starting an hour later means no lights but a little more traffic, two other singles were out from DARC, freshers next weekend so the colleges will be back soon.

Sunday long run with Coxhoe on the run, another cracking morning, cool, still and sunny. The route around Garmondsway quarry and the windmills (wind turbines) on the hill near Trimdon, mostly trail with a cut along the road at the top. I drove to the start to avoid too much on my foot but it seems fine. Last run before our holiday, it still looks too hot and humid for much running.
