No rest something something. Monday #sculling on the Wear, a warm fine morning. University is back and we were joined by a couple of eights a four and earlier by a mad singler in the dark. A slight delay in getting on the water changed the plan to an easier steady session, warmup, Durham heads piece at 70% then counting strokes and in, the counting strokes was looking really strong until we caught the weed which is normally dieing back by October.

After almost five weeks with one practice session on Wednesday we weren't expecting much at South Hylton LDS. Being chased down by another club junior quad focused us and we managed our second best time ever over the race. We almost caught the age category C boat ahead of us and put quite a bit of distance between us and the H boat behind. It was enough with Handicap to get a win. Next race is four weeks off so we might even get a few practice sessions in.
