"#Apple has been told it has to allow #AlternativeAppStores on #iOS in #Brazil within 90 days. Apple has already been forced to allow third-party app stores on iOS in the #EU due to the #DigitalMarketsAct. Brazil’s investigation into Apple began with a complaint filed by #MercadoLivre in 2022.
The company plans to appeal the ruling:
“We are concerned that the measures proposed by #CADE would undermine the privacy & security of users and intend to appeal today’s decision.”
