My new #Quansheng radios can monitor - not transmit, fortunately - the air band and decode AM.
I was able to pick up ATIS (automated weather) on 134.550 MHz at KARB, the Ann Arbor Municipal Airport, from home (if I hold the radio just so). I'm sure it would be better outside.

Ok, I’m trying to find a V+U handheld that does FM voice, #APRS tracking+msg and AM #airband receive. I don’t care about any digital voice mode. What is the cheapest choice?
Bonus points if does cross-band duplex, but I guess only #kenwood HTs support it? (and they sadly disappeared from the market…)
