A little research has established this is grandiflora, a hybrid species of flowering plant in the honeysuckle family Caprifoliaceae.
Made up of #Linnaea (aka #abelia cross with #grandiflora.
Lovely soft colours. And leaves that are plump and healthy.
These flowers were super fragrant. As in noticeable from a couple of feet away. These flowers look as if they’re produced in clusters, mainly white, tinged pink, bell-shaped, to 2 cm long.
Unlike most flowering shrubs in this suburban (cultivated / managed) setting, the species blooms from late summer to well into the autumn.
This ‘find’ was pleasing, even in the rain!

These flowers look as if they’re produced in clusters, mainly white, tinged pink, bell-shaped, to 2 cm long. They look to me like miniature lilies as they have gorgeous white filaments and anthers.
