Rocky awoke at. 0600 and dragged butler out of bed to open dining hall and gardens. He found gray gloom as Sunday night’s thunderstorms bypassed Dismal Acres. We had a whole 1.6 mm of rain. Dragon’s tail May catch us on the way out. Or not.

Tuesday’s #NWSWakefieldVA advisory map map is alive with surf and rip currents warnings for the region. The northwest quadrant of the advisory map shows thunderstorms forecast for Foggy Bottom and the northern Bay.

The occluded front lies just to our south along 36N which happens to be the NC boarder.

S simple cold front, they said. This is The Dismal Dominion, nothing is ever simple. The inland western bit has gone occluded, ie it is sticking traffic. The eastern half has gone back door. Winds are northerly, it is an #RCH cooler but remains humid. It’s 26 and 80% humid. Feels like is 26 also which is an improvement. #757wx #VAwx #NCwx
