I joined Lord Nick and Missy in the Ghost Patrol today. Vet and guardian didn’t want me drowning in my own blood as lung cancer tumors had been hemorrhaging last night. 20 months post diagnosis is pretty amazing.

I had a rough night Tuesday overnight into Wednesday morning. I spent several hours coughing and wretching. I tossed up several palm-sized patches of blood as lung tumors hemoraged. I was finally able to settle down just now. #greyhounds #Rocky This summer I’ve been less and less able to be my old self. Quiet rest lasted about 10 minutes before the wretching and panting resumed. Rocky ate a 1/2c batch of porridge for breakfast. Then 1c kibble for afternoon tea. And another 1c batch of kibble for supper. That puts him in surplus at his current weight. #greyhounds

I'm kipping in a soggy dog bed. Prof Tanglefoot stepped on my bed (fortunately unoccupied) rather than over. He went down in best silent movie physical comedy fashion carrying a mug of Honey Yellow Cafe Kreyol. Fortunately, he drinks his java black and bitter (old mid-watch habit) so no sticky mess to contend with. Only Tanglefoot's pride was harmed. No damage to him or coffee mug or nearby computers. #greyhounds #WobblyMinion

Isn't my staff smart? Throw rug matting on the steps so I can come up by myself. I'm starting to get the hang of it.
Eating more and getting stronger. Gait improved some. Still want a reassuring tug on my luggage handle.

Dismal Wrangler is teaching me to "walk the plank”
We have a load-up ramp designed for going up porch steps. Rocky balks at anything not on the level. So I’m having him walk the plank on the ground so he can get the idea of it being under foot and that feet need to stay on it.
He did three repetitions and said "enough" in the usual greyhound short attention span way. Will keep at it on the level for a while.
