Ahoy Pachyderm Pals, #PalsPorch #ZSHQ #greyhounds Dismal Manor Gang is up. Greyhounds are bright eyed and bushy-tailed as they check the garden for the undead menace.

Thursday night there was a red alert and lots of barking up a tree as a menacing opossum was detected and escorted to — shed undercroft where possums but not greyhounds fit.

We may have weather Saturday. Our weather hazards advisory map is becoming colorful as conditions develop for a nor’easter Saturday afternoon #VAwx

Missy has elected to patrol. Staff installed her winter rain coat and she’s out checking on the possum and doing girl-dog things. So far, all’s quiet on the western front.

Rocky is in post-brekkie kip mode.

DW is somewhat awake (woke?) with Robitusin DM hangover after sleeping 4 hours or so in (on) the somewhat bigger bed. Rocky wisely sleep in en-suite man cave.

Ahoy and happy #BoxingDay. The excitement is palpable at Dismal Manor as we rummage through the garden looking for that special soggy dead toy or squirrel pelt we have saved for staff’s Boxing Day. Wonderfully generous and so very English tradition. Give the Weasley Sweater to “your man” — the one that tends the Steamer’s boiler. (Jay’s Garage, Stanley Steamer Episode).

Ahoy, Pachyderm Pals! Missy here on dawn patrol. Knickers photography was attempted to capture the last nice sunrise before stormy weather Sunday and Monday.

Rocky held reveille at 0530. Minion put up token resistance not sent Rocky out for a dash and splash or is it splash and dash before feeding us at 0615. While Rocky was out, I was given the jersey jar crumbs with my tea!

We all slept well until 0500 when Rocky’s belly began to rumble but we kipped until 0600R and the start of blue hour. We’re out now attending to duties and Dawn Patrol. #ZSHQ garden is safe. Not so sure about school bus shuffle.

Dismal Manor is battening hatches for dismal weather. This pan around at 0640 looked somewhat dramatic. Weather divination suggest Friday’s storm will slide by to our north. 35% chance of something peaking at 1600Q.

Missy opened the loo at 0430Q. We went back to bed for a nap. Up to take the checkin photos and feed #greyhounds. Rocky slept in. Missy shouted out, out, out until Dismal Butler caved and sent her out to the sleeping porch.

Staff is up and reviewing the E-mails and the accounts. Tesla refunded $2000 late September Model Y price reduction. Nice Tesla. This was unexpected as I had ordered at the old price but took delivery after the new price was in effect.

This morning while the porridge was becoming porridge, I applied a Tesla software update that changes the SuperCharger site selection to skip busy locations. They also changed other odd things.

Friday circa 0820Q Mr Sun has been up for an hour under a warm front sky headed for 25C or so. Nice through Monday then snaps over to chilly.

Mr Sycamore stands tall to greet Camp Dismal day campers on a splendid late summer day expected to b seasonably #HHH. The FUG is expected to remain further south.

Camp Dismal opens for day camp activities including paddling, surfing 🏄‍♂️, and war canoe 🛶 racing. Kraken advises canoeing with caution as there’s little shade off shore.

Ahoy Dismal Campers. #BBCWorld service woke me at 0500Q. And I was hungry. Hopped in bed with Butler. He tried to resist so I began Operation #LapDance. Resistance is futile. Butler got up to tend sinuses. While they were sorting we were fed, given pudding, and sent out on #ZSHQ #DawnPatrol — the garden is secure!
